1. Who we are and the scope of this Policy

PEANUT NETWORK TECHNOLOGY PTE. LTD. (“Peanut Network”, “we”, “us” or “our”) is a Singapore media and technology company. We develop and distribute fiction, vertical dramas and AI-enabled media. This Privacy Policy applies to our websites, applications, video players, customer support and other digital services that display or link to it (collectively, the “Services”).

For personal data collected through the Services, Peanut Network is the organisation responsible for deciding why and how that data is processed, unless a separate notice identifies another controller.

2. Personal data we may collect

We collect only the categories reasonably required for the relevant Service. Not every category below is collected from every user.

Information you provide

• Contact and correspondence data: your name, email address, company, role and the contents of enquiries, rights requests, feedback or support messages.
• Account and profile data: if an account feature is offered, identifiers such as username, email address, profile preferences and authentication records. We do not ask you to send passwords through customer-support email.
• Content and submissions: comments, reports, creative materials or other information you choose to send to us. Please do not submit confidential, sensitive or third-party personal data unless it is necessary and you are authorised to do so.

Information collected automatically

• Device and network data: IP address, browser and operating-system type, device model, language, time zone, app version, general region derived from IP address, and device or app identifiers where permitted.
• Usage and viewing data: pages or titles viewed, episode progress, searches, favourites, interactions, referring pages, access time and session duration where those features are available.
• Diagnostics and security data: crash reports, performance logs, error records and signals used to detect fraud, abuse or unauthorised access.

Information from third parties

We may receive limited information from app stores, hosting and distribution platforms, analytics providers, content or business partners, and sign-in providers if such integrations are introduced. Their processing is also governed by their own privacy notices.

3. How we use personal data

We may use personal data to:

• deliver video, website, application and customer-support functionality;
• remember settings and viewing progress, and provide content discovery or recommendations where available;
• respond to enquiries and manage content, distribution, rights and other business relationships;
• measure performance, troubleshoot errors and improve accessibility, localisation, design and content operations;
• protect the Services, our users and our rights, including detecting abuse, fraud, security incidents and violations of our Terms of Use;
• send service communications and, only where permitted, marketing communications that you can opt out of;
• comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests; and
• evaluate or complete a financing, reorganisation, merger, acquisition or transfer of business assets.

4. Legal grounds for processing

Depending on the Service and your location, we process personal data with your consent, to perform a contract or take steps at your request, to comply with law, or for legitimate interests that are not overridden by your rights. Those interests include operating and improving a global media service, securing our systems, understanding audience engagement and managing business communications. You may withdraw consent at any time, but withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out lawfully.

5. Cookies, local storage and similar technologies

Essential technologies may be used to deliver media, maintain security, remember settings and keep the Services functioning. We may also use privacy-conscious measurement tools to understand aggregate performance. Where applicable law requires consent for non-essential cookies, software development kits or device access, we will request it before use.

Our current corporate website does not use third-party advertising cookies and we do not currently sell personal data or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. If our practices change, we will update this Policy and provide legally required controls.

6. AI-enabled production and personal data

We may use artificial-intelligence tools in responsible creative workflows, including concept visualisation, localisation, production support and content discovery. The presence of AI-assisted media does not mean that we use website visitors’ contact enquiries or private correspondence to train public generative-AI models. If a future feature allows you to submit prompts, images, audio or other material to an AI system, we will provide an additional notice where needed and ask you not to submit sensitive data or material you are not entitled to use.

We do not use automated processing to make legal or similarly significant decisions about users through the current Services.

7. When we disclose personal data

We may disclose relevant data to:

• hosting, content-delivery, security, communications, analytics, localisation and technical-service providers acting under appropriate instructions;
• app stores, distribution platforms and content partners where required to deliver a feature or title;
• professional advisers, auditors, insurers and corporate transaction counterparties subject to appropriate confidentiality safeguards;
• courts, regulators, law-enforcement bodies or other parties when disclosure is legally required or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety and security; and
• another party at your direction or with your consent.

Service providers may use personal data only for the services they perform for us, except where law independently permits or requires otherwise.

8. International transfers

Our audience and service providers may be located around the world, so personal data may be processed outside Singapore or your country of residence. Where required, we use contracts, transfer assessments and other safeguards designed to provide a standard of protection comparable to the applicable legal requirements. You may contact us for information about safeguards relevant to your data.

9. Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, taking account of legal, accounting, dispute-resolution and security requirements. As a general guide, routine enquiries may be retained for up to 24 months after closure, security and diagnostic logs for up to 12 months, and records required for legal or business purposes for the period required by applicable law, which may be up to seven years. We may retain de-identified or aggregated information that no longer identifies an individual.

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the data, including access controls, service-provider review, secure transmission where supported, and monitoring intended to protect against accidental or unlawful loss, misuse, alteration or disclosure. No internet service is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a notifiable data breach occurs, we will assess and provide notifications as required by applicable law.

11. Your rights and choices

Depending on your location and subject to legal exceptions, you may request access to or correction of personal data, withdraw consent, object to or restrict processing, request deletion or portability, and complain to a data-protection authority. Singapore residents may request access and correction under the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 and may withdraw consent with reasonable notice. Residents of the EEA, United Kingdom or Switzerland may also have rights to erasure, restriction, portability and objection. California residents may have rights to know, delete and correct personal information, to opt out of sale or sharing, to limit certain uses of sensitive personal information, and to non-discrimination.

To exercise a right, email us with the subject “Privacy Request” and describe your request and country or state of residence. We may request information reasonably necessary to verify identity and authority. You may use an authorised agent where law permits. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.

12. Children and younger users

The Services are intended for a general audience aged 16 and over and are not directed to children under 13. Users who are under the age of legal majority where they live should use the Services only with a parent’s or guardian’s permission. We do not knowingly collect personal data from a child in breach of applicable law. A parent or guardian who believes a child has provided personal data may contact us to request review and deletion.

13. Third-party services and links

The Services may link to or interoperate with third-party websites, app stores, social platforms or media services. We do not control their independent privacy practices. Review the applicable third-party privacy notice before providing information to them.

14. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy to reflect changes in our Services, technology, law or business practices. We will post the updated version and revise the date above. If a change materially affects your rights, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent where required.
